CHAANGE STUDY FINDINGS

A professional research study examined the effectiveness of the CHAANGE program.  Two groups were used.  One was a group of CHAANGE participants who had completed the program in the past 18 months to 1 year. The second group was made up of people just beginning the CHAANGE program.

 People who completed the CHAANGE program: 

  • Felt less anxious
  • Were less depressed
  • Were less fearful of many situations
  • Were less angry
  • Had better coping skills
  • Had increased confidence in their ability to solve personal problems
  • Were more at ease in social situations
  • Felt more energetic

A second part of the study examined medical costs before and after CHAANGE treatment.  Results showed that CHAANGE participants had cost savings from 26% to 62% in the year following treatment compared to the year before treatment.
